Wesleyan University, B.A. in History
Susannah is a fiction writer and translator based in Brooklyn. In her seven years as an educator, she has worked with a wide range of students—from undergraduates to executives to first-graders and everything in between. Susannah is dedicated to helping each student find the stories that matter to them, a writing process that actually works for them, and their own stand-out voice.
After graduating from Wesleyan University with High Honors in History, Susannah moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she discovered her love of literary translation. She moved back to New York, where she worked in publishing for several years with a focus on international literature. In 2021, Susannah was awarded a Fulbright in Creative Writing to conduct research for the novel she had secretly been writing on nights and weekends. She spent nine months in Madrid visiting archives, writing, and eating all the tapas she could find. She returned to the US to pursue an M.F.A. in Fiction as a Goldwater Fellow at New York University, where she also taught Creative Writing.
Susannah’s work has been published in Lit Hub, Epiphany, Words Without Borders, the Columbia Review, and the Washington Square Review. When she’s not hammering away at her novel or translating short stories, Susannah loves sewing clothes and finger-painting with her three-year-old niece.
