Dear LogicPrep Families,
As a community of perpetual learners, our team and I are closely following the latest developments and are taking the COVID-19 virus very seriously. We also recognize that while this is a particularly precarious moment, we - as always - remain focused on the future and the promise of what's ahead, and we don't want our students to lose momentum.
Over the past few days, some colleges have suspended prospective and admitted student visits - which is particularly challenging for Seniors making their final decisions about where to attend in the fall, and Juniors relying on Spring Break to build their lists. Other schools have canceled open houses and even asked students not to return after spring break.
What does this mean for your college preparation and search plan?
While times like these can force us into isolation, there's tremendous power in the LogicPrep community.
Please know that we can connect you with LogicPrep students and staff members - we have thousands of alums around the world who can speak firsthand to their experiences - if you have to miss a college visit in the months ahead. We can also point you in the right direction to find online resources (virtual tours are a great option and virtual info sessions should be starting up soon). Please feel free to send me a note directly and I'd be happy to make the connection.
It's also important to note that some SAT & ACT test centers may close due to COVID-19. We encourage students planning to take spring tests to closely monitor emails from ACT & College Board and check their websites frequently for updates.
Should it become necessary to close our offices, we are fully prepared to offer all instruction, advising and practice testing online. If any of our students feel more comfortable continuing their weekly lessons online, allowing them to work from home, we embrace this option. As leaders in online education, we've been teaching students remotely for over a decade and have developed the best possible experience to seamlessly continue your preparation experience.
It's so important for students to continue working toward their college goals during these crucial few months. So, stay healthy and stay in touch. As always, we're here to guide you every step of the way.
In good health,
LINDSAY TANNE
