Since graduating from Duke, Jamie has spent more than a decade guiding students to success as a LogicPrep Tutor and Academic Advisor. No matter what he is teaching, Jamie brings a thoughtful, holistic approach and calm demeanor to inspire confidence and help his students maximize their potential. Jamie leads the development of LogicPrep’s ACT and SAT verbal programs and serves as a mentor to LogicPrep’s team of tutors. He also helped to establish and serves on the board of the Jesse Kolber Foundation, which provides both access to and financing for college to highly achieving students who have demonstrated resilience, financial need, and a commitment to academic excellence.

A deeply logical thinker who beats everyone at board games, Jamie is the person you look forward to playing with anyway; his approachable, reassuring confidence makes him an empathetic and effective coach no matter what he is doing. When he’s not teaching, Jamie spends his time on a wide range of passions, including sports, music, literature, and his beloved dogs, Duke and Hobbes.

ALEX

College Advisor & Director of Admissions at a Private Day-Boarding School

During her undergraduate years at the University of Chicago, Alex explored classes in Statistics, Psychology, and Sociology on the path to earning her Bachelor's in Comparative Human Development. While at UChicago, she spent all four years working for the College Admissions Office as a tour guide and as Chair of the Multicultural Students Advisory Committee.

After graduating, Alex went on to work at UChicago as an Admissions Counselor focusing on undergraduate applications from the Midwest and independent schools. Her time at UChicago was dedicated to helping build a diverse student body and making the application process easier for families and students as a part of the Equity and Access Team. She also went on to earn her Master's Degree at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education.

Alex loves helping students tell their stories and supporting them in finding a college home that they will love for four years and beyond. Students who work with Alex can expect an organized, compassionate, and intentional process and coach.
